Gettin' Bloggy With It: How To Easily Send Guest Posts

If you ever get asked to guest post on someone else's blog, and that might be some of you soon... stay posted for that!... it can be tricky to send everything to the blogger. If you've ever tried to copy and paste text from a Word document into a blog post, you'll know what I mean! The formatting goes all weird, the spacing is off and then the blogger has to fix it all, insert photos, check the links, etc. There is a much easier and quicker way to do it!

1. Write the blog post, including all the links and photos, on your own blog as if you were going to hit Publish on it.

2. Once you're all done, open Notepad from your Start menu. You might need to search for it.
UPDATE: For Mac users, you want to use Text Edit.

3. Go into the HTML section of your blog post. Highlight all the text, copy, and paste into Notepad.

4. Save the file, then email it to the blogger. The blogger then copies and pastes the text from Notepad across into their blog post and voila! All the links, images and formatting will be there properly, ready to publish.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment! I try my hardest to reply to all comments - either here or via email if you have your email linked to your profile :) Unfortunately Blogger's spam filter has stopped catching all the spam, so Anonymous comments have been turned off. I'd rather do that then make you jump through word verification!
